TING orders KAU to kill WAI. YIU strikes a deal with TING by exchanging FUNG’s whereabouts for WAI’s safety. TING tells SHING of FUNG’s hiding place, but SHING rebuts her faulty intelligence. While YIU is forcing the unwilling WAI to leave the capital with him, the Brocade Guards arrive. KAU comes to their rescue and they take the chance to escape. YIU’s tongue slips and reveals TING as WONG YEE’s murderer. The news shocks WAI, who threatens to tell LUI. In seizing a confidential letter from YIU, a desperate TING kills him.
