Malik, einer der Augments übernimmt die Kontrolle des klingonischen Bird of Preys. Er läßt Dr. Soong einsperren. Aber seine Gefährtin ist noch ihrem "Vater" treu und verhilft ihm zur Flucht. Die Augments nehmen aber weiter Kurs auf eine klingonische Kolonie und wollen diese mit biologischen Waffen angreifen. Dies könnte einen Krieg zwischen den Klingonen und der Erde auslösen.
