On August 6th 1977, the world’s first DOCTOR WHO convention was held at a church hall in Battersea, South London. Organised by The Doctor Who Appreciation Society (DWAS) , Convention ’77 was ground breaking – featuring sta appearances from the (then) current Doctor Tom baker with his latest companion Louise Jameson (Leela) and former Doctor Jon Pertwee. 40 years later, stars, fans and organisers returned to the church hall to reminisce about that special day! In this second volume celebrating the anniversary, we feature a convention panel with organiser Keith Barnfather, contributor Kevin Davies and attendee Andrew Beech, held at another DWAS event The Capitol II on the 7th May 2017.

McDonnell Douglas Information Systems was a subsidiary of the giant McDonnell Douglas aircraft company in America. In 1986 Reeltime Pictures was commissioned to make a video documentary showing the customers story.

In 1995, David Boyle founded the Doctor Who Experience in Llangollen, Wales. When it closed in 2003, he didn’t give up and moved north to Blackpool to open another exhibition there! This time it was his venture, organized and run by him and it was the biggest DOCTOR WHO exhibition ever – with both old and new series exhibits from the programme! In this film we pay tribute to both the exhibition and DAVID BOYLE… one of DOCTOR WHO’s greatest advocates!

Doctor Who fans fondly remember the late Ian Marter as the charming, bumbling Harry Sullivan. The man behind the character was equally as likeable, but many times more sharp witted.
