America in the mid-1980s. In the midst of the AIDS crisis and a conservative Reagan administration, six New Yorkers with interconnect lives grapple with life and death, love and sex, heaven and hell.

Jenna is a young waitress and expert in making pies who lives in a small, desolate town. Her daily life is marked by the same hours, the same customers, among the cooking pots and frying pans, a colorless life with no dreams along with a forced pregnancy by a husband she’s stopped loving a long time ago. The arrival of a young doctor in town brings a new taste to Jenna’s life and to the life of her two waitress friends.

Yehuda and Haim are a pair of 23-year-old twins from Kfar Chabad. The first is a Torah prodigy, and the second – not. They must find a match, since in their “ripe old age” it simply will not do to be bachelors. The community rabbi holds a large Farbrengen for the two, during which they meet their intended brides. Yehuda the prodigy is successfully betrothed to the pious rabbi's daughter, Rina, with the wedding set a week from now. Haim’s match is unsuccessful, and he’s expelled from Kfar Chabad until he'll find a suitable match. Yehuda cannot picture his wedding without his beloved twin, and the two embark on a “matchmaking mission” to find Haim a bride. They enlist the help of a reputable matchmaker in a dubious neighborhood on the outskirts of Tel Aviv, and mix with Menashe, the head of a crime family, who terrorizes the residents of the neighborhood. What begins as a journey to find a mate, turns into such a big mess, that not even God can untangle…

In the second part, Perestroika, Prior, Joe, Louis, Harper, and Roy continue to navigate love, loss, and loneliness in their attempts to pick up the pieces and find comfort in a chaotic world. Their stories quickly intertwine, as unlikely relationships emerge and develop.

Segev, a young man, reaches out to Avshalom, his estranged older brother who cut ties with the family many years ago, in order to inform him that their father is gravely ill. The meeting between the two brothers, who have never met before, launches the entire family into an emotional whirlwind, triggering a chain of events that is both humorous and tragic. As they confront death, longtime resentments, and long-buried family secrets that surface for the first time, the two brothers find themselves in a battle of emotions.

Evan Hansen, a high schooler with social anxiety, unintentionally gets caught up in a lie after the family of a classmate who committed suicide mistakes one of Hansen’s letters for their son’s suicide note.

Orgon is living the good life. He has status, money and a loving family. But he felt that the soul needed a spiritual boost that would give his life meaning. He brings Tartuffe into his home, a man filled with faith and principles that Orgon sees as half God. From that moment on, the family goes into complete turmoil, and no one is able to open Orgon's eyes to the fact that he might be a fraud.

Duvale G's stand-up show in the basement of the industrial area in Netanya, gets out of control and takes a creepy turn. In front of the audience, where two childhood friends are also sitting, he conducts a poignant soul-searching. The demon train moves quickly between black humor and venomous satire, between loves and betrayals, longings and regrets. In stand-up, as in life - everything is possible and on this evening, which is Duvale's birthday and also probably his last show, he has nothing to lose.
