Emil and his brother, Stanko, have something in common: they both remember a terrible event that happened when they were children in Montenegro. Both are now immigrants in France: Emil moves in with his friend Gabrielle, while Stanko attempts to climb the ladder on the fringes of lawfulness, in the world of gambling and cock fighting. Anna, their mother, who has never forgotten her home country, dreams of going back to Montenegro as a family. The arrival of Larkos, their uncle, who has finally been released from prison and is over the moon to be reunited with his first love, will catalyse events and the inevitable confrontation...

Spring 2004, a house with a large garden welcomes filmmaker Claude Chabrol. He is about to celebrate his 54 films and 74 years of age. Thomas Chabrol, the filmmaker's son, as the perfect butler, is checking the table. "Figu", Claude's film sutler, plunges a lobster into the cauldron... The great merry-go-round can begin!

A scientist in yellow overalls is taking samples of green algae on a beach in Brittany. Lifting his mask, he suddenly drops down dead. There’s panic in the village – he’s not the first person to disappear, and the municipality suspects that toxic algae are the cause. Nevertheless, it’s out of the question to endanger the tourism industry or accuse intensive farming for this maleficent bloom. The mayor prefers to suspect the Parisian “bobos” who rent the Airbnb on the beach. But all it takes is one high tide for the dead to re-emerge from the seaweed carpet as zombies.

A man is born. He is ephemeral. He will only live a day, during which he will go through all the stages and ages of life, growing old by several years every hour. Like a visitor from elsewhere, he encounters, discovers, and tries to understand this world in which has been born.
