เรื่องราวจากบ้านพักคนชรา St. Petersburg ที่เงียบสงบ ผ่านตัวละครเหล่าคุณตาคุณยายที่แสนจะน่ารัก โดยเรื่องราวเกิดขึ้นจากก๊วนคุณตาสุดแสบ 3 คน ที่มักจะหนีไปเล่นสนุกกันในสระว่ายน้ำของบ้านร้างข้างบ้านพักคนชรา แต่แล้ววันหนึ่ง บ้านร้างหลังนั้น กลับมีคนแปลกหน้ากลุ่มหนึ่งย้ายเข้ามาอยู่ และแน่นอนว่า ต้องไม่ใช่คนธรรมดาๆ ( ก็แหงล่ะ.. เป็นหนังมนุษย์ต่างดาวนี่หว่า.. ) แต่เรื่องราวกลับไม่ได้ง่ายดายและจบแค่ตรงนั้น เหล่าก๊วนซ่าส์ ก็ยังไม่ลดละในความซน ยังดั้นด้นแอบไปเล่นน้ำในสระว่ายน้ำสระเดิม อย่างสนุกสนาน แถมยังค้นพบความลับอันแปลกประหลาดด้วยว่า การไปว่ายน้ำในสระของบ้านหลังนั้น ทำให้ตัวเองกลับมีชีวิตชีวาเหมือนคนหนุ่มอีกครั้ง พร้อมๆกับการค้นพบสถานะของเพื่อนใหม่แปลกหน้ากลุ่มนี้อีกเสียด้วย

“คิม กูนัม” ชายหนุ่มเชื้อชาติเกาหลีใต้ที่หากินอยู่ในประเทศจีนค ิม ได้ไปกู้เงินจากพวกนักเลงกลุ่มหนึ่งเพราะต้องการซื้อ หนังสือเดินทางเพื่อให้ เมียของเขาได้เข้าไปทำงานในเกาหลีใต้แต่หลังจากนั้นเ มียเขาก็ไม่ได้ติดต่อ กลับมาอีกเลย และวันหนึ่งพวกนักเลงได้พาคิมไปรู้จักกับ มยุนกา หัวหน้าแก๊งค์ขาใหญ่มยุนกาเสนองานให้คิมงานหนึ่งนั่น ก็คือ..ฆ่าชายคนหนึ่งใน เกาหลีใต้ !!!ด้วยความที่คิมต้องการเงินมาจ่ายหนี้สินและอยากไป ตามหาเมียที่นั่นเขาจึง รับข้อเสนอนั้นโดยที่เขาไม่รู้เลยว่าคนที่เขากำลังจะ เดินทางเพื่อไปฆ่านั้น เป็นขาใหญ่ระดับลูกพี่ของกลุ่มอิทธิพลกลุ่มหนึ่งเรื่ องราวยิ่งเลวร้ายมาก ยิ่งขึ้นเมื่อเขาพบว่าตนเองกำลังถูกไอ้ มยุนกา หักหลัง !!!คิมจึงต้องจัดการสะสางบัญชีแค้นไอ้เชี่ย มยุนกา อย่างสาสม

Nangou is a compulsive gambler who has accumulated debt over three million yen. In a last ditch attempt to clear his record, he decides to wager his life on a game of mahjong with the mafia. Unfortunately, as the game progresses, Nangou only moves further from the prize and closer to death. When all hope seems lost, the game parlor is suddenly intruded upon by Shigeru Akagi, a young boy on the run from the police. Desperate to turn the game around, Nangou hands the game over to Akagi after teaching him a few of the rules. The mafia can only smirk as Akagi sits down to play. However, they soon come to learn that Akagi is a natural born gambler. An imposing figure who does not fear death. One who is destined to become a legend.

The story is set in Hiroshima Prefecture's Onomichi City, where a high school student Nashiko Jippensha was kicked out of her house. Without a place to play with her friends, she learns that the mahjong parlor that her father used to run is now vacant. She fixes the mahjong parlor and turns it into a place where she and her friends can have fun, cook, have tea, and sometimes play mahjong.

Xie Lian, the crown prince of Xian Le Kingdom, successfully ascends to Heaven during his third trial in spite of successive demotions. However, he accidentally breaks the Gold Palace of heavenly officials. With no human worshiping him, Xie Lian has to descend to the secular world to exorcise ghosts, which may help him sustain his divinity.

Akagi Shigeru is a young, white-haired mahjong genius. One summer in 1965, he ends up facing off against Washizu Iwao, Japan’s King of Darkness who has amassed enormous fortune and power, at the request of his acquaintance, the rogue detective Yasuoka. As the observer, Ogi Takeshi, a leader of the henchmen of Inada-gumi watches over them, mahjong with special rules called Washizu Mahjong begins. It is a life or death struggle with Akagi’s fresh blood and Washizu’s entire fortune at stake.

Nodoka Haramura's appearance on television playing in a high school mahjong tournament inspires her old Jr. high school friends to reform their schools club so they can meet and play her in the National High School Mahjong Tournament.

Ryuu, also known as Crying Dragon, is a mysterious man who often plays mahjong with gang members. He only wins by "ron" - a move in which one needs to wait for the opponent's tile to complete the win.

Not a lot of people know that one of the most talented and ruthless Mahjong players in the city is a young high school boy. Kei is a teenager of few words, but his observation skills, unwavering will and experience in the game allows him to survive in a world full of powerful, rich and dangerous characters. Kei is currently hiding a girl named Amina who has entered the country illegally and protecting her from being deported. He spends his days sleeping through class and his nights playing high stakes Mahjong, waiting for when a worthy opponent arrives.
