Alone and angry, a teenager travels to the coast of northern Italy to meet her biological father. On the beaches of Emilia-Romagna’s Riviera, deserted in winter, the girl meets him for the first time. Their encounter is fraught with questions, longing and conflict, as they struggle for acceptance, love, and honesty. It’s a difficult and complicated reckoning between the choices of the past and its repercussions on the present.

A juvenile offender is handed over to authorities at age 13 and placed in an institution in this somber social drama. Martin is a petty thief who enjoys stealing and looks up to his older brother. When he is informed that his brother has died, Martin runs away from the reform school. They must defy the odds to save the mysterious circus panther, Shadowclaw, in the heart of New York City. Together, they must turn their differences into strengths, overcome their fears, and save the panther before the official K9 team captures her and puts her away forever.
