The story of a bad-tempered, battered actor who is too fond of whiskey who will have to coach a beginner actress for an audition for Romeo and Juliet. A fictitious audition and a meeting arranged and engineered by the actor's brother who wants him to regain a taste for the profession.

Théophile, a successful writer, finally finds inspiration again. His new book shocks people, because many of his close friends recognize themselves in the characters.

Claudine and Valentin were friends and roommates before becoming a real loving couple. The years went by and routine set in. On her side, Claudine is faithful. But Valentin has gotten into the habit of going elsewhere. She wants to leave him. He'd rather they "stay together"

In the 60s, in the heart of a village, Robert lives with his mother Odette. About fifty, balding, paunchy, Robert spends most of his time locked in the garage where he tries to develop a teleport machine. Robert will try to teleport himself, but a fly is stuck in the machine, and the scientific apprentice will gradually turn into a giant insect. Robert will little by little dehumanize to become a beast able to climb the wall, pushed by an insatiable search for food.
