Bretagne, Frankrike, 1760. Konstnären Marianne har fått i uppdrag att göra ett porträtt av Héloïse, en ung kvinna som just lämnat klostret. Héloïse ska giftas bort och den presumtive brudgummen vill se hur hon ser ut. Men hon vill inte gifta sig och Marianne måste måla av henne i smyg. Hon iakttar Héloïse om dagen och målar av henne i hemlighet på natten. Mellan de två kvinnorna växer en intimitet och attraktion fram. De delar Héloïses första och sista ögonblick av frihet, alltmedan Marianne målar det porträtt som ska avsluta allt.

Gretchen's gay best friend and roommate, Kevin, is looking for love and may have found it in Asher. We follow our four main characters through their lives in New York City as they navigate their world with an intersectional cast of queer and straight characters.
