Detta är filmen om Rob, en musikfanatisk man i 30-årsåldern vars förhållande med flickvännen Laura gått kraschat av olika anledningar. Robs mesta tid går åt till att driva skivaffären Championship Vinyl där han gnabbas med sina två anställda och hittar på topp 5-listor om allt möjligt. Mitt i krisen med Laura gör Rob en topp 5-lista över sina värsta dumpningar och får för sig att han ska leta upp sina gamla flickvänner för att komma underfund om vad som egentligen gick snett i kärlekslivet...

En resa tillbaka till musikaliska rötterna i Laurel Canyon i Los Angeles. Programmet innehåller musik från gruppen som Byrds, Beach Boys, Buffalo Springfield och Mamas and the Papas.
