Jack Conrad väntar på dödsstraffet i ett korrumperat fängelse i Centralamerika. Han "köps" av en stenrik TV-producent och förs till en avlägsen ö där han måste slåss till döden mot nio andra dödsdömda mördare från världens alla hörn med frihet som pris till den ende överlevande. Producenten filmar hela evenemanget och visar morden utan censur över Internet.
