A group of friends on holiday on an island experiment with a new designer drug that makes them lose their ability to control their urges.

Candida is a fifteen year old from Sicily, who lives with her father Salvo. When he loses his job, they leave for Turin. Candida has to integrate in a new school where she is bullied, as does her partner Jacopo. But thanks to her positivity, it will be Candida who will let Jacopo out of his isolation, making him discover that everything is good, even when it is not great.

In a police station in a small village, a sergeant interrogates a young and frightened postman, known as "Cacasotto". He, normally known for being calm and good-hearted, was arrested for having threatened a policeman on patrol with a knife. Eventually, Cacasotto begins to speak with the cop.
