Red shoes tells the story of the activist Daniela Falanga, born Raffaele, first son of a Neapolitan Mafia boss. Her father is currently serving a life sentence in Rome for multiple homicides. Daniela's journey to become who she is now has been a struggle, against his criminal family and a sexist society. She is now the first trans woman to be President of Arcigay Naples and fights for LGBT rights. She has a boyfriend who is a transgender boy, Ilario, and they want to have a baby of their own.
