Misija ga popelje na nevarno pot, polno razburljivih dogodivščin, na kateri ga spremlja nekdanja ljubezen Marion.

Zgodba o ljubezni in preživetju v 23. stoletju, kakršnega si je zamisli režiser Luc Besson in v katerem človeštvo potuje med zvezde ter širi življenjsko energijo. A vsakih 5000 let, ko se za hip odpro vrata v paralelne razsežnosti, mračna sila napade vesolje. To skuša izkoristiti zlobni Zorg, in edini up človeštva je Leeloo, ki predstavlja peti element, življenjsko silo, pri tem pa ji, sprva po naključju in nehote, pomaga newyorški taksist Korben Dallas.

Stvari se hitro spremenijo, ko ga nenapovedano obišče njegova odtujena krščenka Helena Shaw, ki išče redek artefakt, ki mu ga je dal njen oče – gre za zloglasno napravo, ki naj bi imela moč izslediti časovne razpoke. Uspešna prevarantka Helena ukrade artefakt in hitro zapusti državo, da bi ga prodala najboljšemu ponudniku. Ker Indy nima izbire, pobriše prah s svojega znamenitega klobuka in usnjene jakne za še eno, tokrat zadnjo pustolovščino.

Iskalec zakladov Ben Gates se po treh letih znova vrača na velika platna, a tokrat je njegova pustolovščina še bolj osebna, saj mora oprati družinsko ime. Ponovno najdene strani iz dnevnika morilca ameriškega predsednika Abrahama Lincolna dokazujejo, da je bil v zaroto vpleten tudi Benov pra pra dedek. Da bi dokazal nedolžnost svojega prednika, se Ben poda na težavno razkrivanje sledi in ugank iz preteklosti, ki ga vodijo od Pariza do Londona, toda dokončni odgovor se skriva v knjigi skrivnosti, do katere se lahko dokoplje le tako, da ugrabi predsednika ZDA.

Nicolas Cage igra Benjamina Franklina Gatesa, ki predstavlja tretjo generacijo družine lovcev na zaklade. Benjamin je vse svoje življenje namenil iskanju zaklada, za katerega le redki verjamejo, da sploh obstaja. Pot do njegovega skrivališča je v šifrah zapisana na bankovec za en dolar in na hrbtno stran deklaracije o neodvisnosti. Ko Benjamin izve, da se pripravlja kraja deklaracije, mora, da bi zaščitil najbolj varovano skrivnost v zgodovini človeštva, sam ukrasti mapo, preden se jo polastijo napačne roke.

Bonekickers was a BBC drama about a team of archaeologists, set at the fictional Wessex University. It made its début on 8 July 2008 and ran for one series. It was written by Life on Mars and Ashes to Ashes creators Matthew Graham and Ashley Pharoah. It was produced by Michele Buck and Damien Timmer of Mammoth Screen Ltd and co-produced with Monastic Productions. Archaeologist and Bristol University academic Mark Horton acted as the series' archaeological consultant. Adrian Lester has described the programme as "CSI meets Indiana Jones [...] There's an element of the crime procedural show, there's science, conspiracy theories – and there's a big underlying mystery that goes through the whole six-episode series." Much of the series was filmed in the City of Bath, Somerset, with locations including the University of Bath campus. Additional locations included Brean Down Fort and Kings Weston House, Chavenage House for episodes 5 & 6 and Sheldon Manor. On 21 November 2008 Broadcast magazine revealed the show would not be returning for a second series.
