Istoimensko nadaljevanje filma Murder Mystery iz leta 2019 in, ali je potrebno pred tem pogledati prvi film, je odgovor preprost: da. Absolutno. Film je namreč neposredno nadaljevanje in predvideva, da glavna lika, zakonca Spitz, ter nekaj stranskih likov že poznate. Po tem, ko se v prvem filmu nič hudega sluteča znajdeta sredi neverjetnega kriminalnega misterija, je tokrat zgodba drugačna. Odprla sta svoje podjetje, katero nudi detektivske storitve in posel jima ne gre najbolje. Potrebujeta uspešno rešen velik primer. Njun bogat prijatelj iz prvega filma, Maharajah, ju povabi na svojo razkošno poroko in zakonca Spitz se odločita za oddih. Tam se stvari zapletejo, ko njunega prijatelja in bodočega ženina ugrabijo, njegovega osebnega varnostnika pa ubijejo.
