Režiser spektakla Godzila predstavlja novo zgodbo pustolovske sage Vojna zvezd, postavljeno v čas izvirne trilogije. Po vzpostavitvi tiranskega galaktičnega Imperija redki preostali pogumni bojevniki nadaljujejo upor, v svoje vrste pa rekrutirajo tudi mlado borko Jyn. Zaupajo ji nalogo kraje načrtov novega strahotnega orožja Imperija, ki bi utegnilo za vedno spremeniti usodo galaksije. S pomočjo preudarnega Cassiana in njegove neustrašne skupine se Jyn odpravi na nemogočo nalogo, polno vrtoglavih spopadov, ob tem pa se mora soočiti z demoni svoje mladosti, saj je njen odtujeni oče eden ključnih snovalcev Zvezde smrti. V času sporov skupina nepričakovanih junakov združi svoje moči v uporniški misiji, v kateri morajo ukrasti načrte za najmočnejše uničevalno orožje novoustanovljenega Imperija, Zvezdo smrti. Eden izmed ključnih dogodkov v kronologiji Vojne zvezd zbere običajne ljudi, ki se odločijo narediti neverjetne stvari, s tem pa galaksiji ponudijo novo upanje.

The series combines sci-fi stories with traditional wild west themes. It is one of the first anime-style shows produced mainly in the USA, although the actual animation was done by the Japanese animation studio Tokyo Movie Shinsha. At the time it aired, The Adventures of the Galaxy Rangers was considered a revolutionary children's show.
