The love story of two students in the tenth grade. Mihai is a provincial who reached in a Bucharest high school where his passion for philosophy and mathematics will be eclipsed by love and Dana is a chess enthusiast. Their romance is full of naturalness, but will go through many trials.
At a swanky hotel in a Black Sea resort, Gogu, one of the hotel employees, meets his uncle Marin, an Oltenian peasant who has come to visit. Gogu says he can sneak Marin into the hotel, as one of the rooms is empty awaiting the arrival of an American billionaire, Mr. Juvett. Marin is amazed by the revealing clothing worn by women at the resort, while the hotel guests are fascinated by his quaint peasant costume. In the hotel room, Marin is perplexed by the various gadgets. Meanwhile, the gangsters learn that Juvett has arrived at the hotel. Juvett is the father of the kidnapped girl, and is coming to pass over a million dollar ransom. A rival gang, who know about the kidnapping, plan to take the ransom for themselves. They follow Marin, believing him to be Juvett.
Marina, a girl from a stunt team, passively assists to everyone's rush to choose the protagonist without whom the filming cannot begin. After weeks of nothing happening, the director, reviewing the footage on the screen, is struck by the photogenic photo of a young girl in an extras scene, which no one can identify. Marina doesn't want to reveal the secret to those on the set because, more pragmatically, her goal is different: admission to cybernetics!

It slowly becomes apparent to one of them that the man he’s sitting with tortured him more than 40 years ago at a Nazi concentration camp during World War II.
