Cez deň sú to obyčajní tínedžeri, ktorých otravuje škola, ale v noci sa menia na nindžov s neuveriteľnými schopnosťami a bojovými strojmi. Pod vedením múdreho Majsta Wu musia ochrániť Ninjago pred zlovestným Lordom Garmadonom, ktorý je, čistou náhodou, aj Loydov otec. Epický boj strojov proti strojom a otca proti synovi, bude skúškou tohto neúprosného, a zároveň nedisciplinovaného tímu novodobých nindžov. Musia sa naučiť krotiť vlastné ego a držať spolu, aby dokázali využiť svoju vnútornú silu Spinjitzu.

Uplynulo takmer 5 rokov, odkedy bolo „všetko super“, a teraz musia čeliť novej obrovskej hrozbe, nájazdníkom z LEGO DUPLO®, ktorí ničia všetko rýchlejšie, ako to stíhajú obyvatelia znova vystavať. V snahe poraziť nepriateľov a nanovo vyskladať harmóniu v Lego svete sa Emmet, Lucy, Batman a ich priatelia vydajú do vzdialených a neprebádaných galaxií. Na slávnostný Deň života sa Rey a BB-8 vydávajú na epické dobrodružstvo naprieč históriou Hviezdnych vojen. Stretávajú Luka Skywalkera, Darth Vadera, Obi-Wana Kenobiho, Yodu a ďalších - musia sa však vrátiť k svojim priateľom na hostinu ku Dňu života.
