Do ich krásneho domu sa totiž nasťahoval Carlov najlepší kamarát Randy Dupree, ktorý práve nemá kde bývať a hľadá si prácu. Z „len na pár dní" sa však pomaly, ale isto stáva večnosť - a navyše je tu ešte Carlov svokor, ktorý sa nemieni zmieriť s tým, že si jeho jediná dcéra vzala „nulu".

Po vyčerpávajúcom boji s rakovinou sa Lance Armstrong vrátil k cyklistickej kariére v roku 1999 ešte odhodlanejší ako kedykoľvek predtým a s pohľadom pevne upriameným na víťazstvo v Tour de France. S pomocou neslávne známeho talianskeho lekára Michela Ferrariho a tímového riaditeľa Johana Bruyneela vyvinul najdômyselnejší dopingový program v histórií športu. Tento program umožňoval Armstrongovi a jeho americkým spolupretekárom dominovať svetovej cyklistike a zvíťaziť na Tour bezprecedentných sedemkrát.

Biografická dráma, nakrútená v britsko-nemeckej koprodukcii, vychádza zo skutočného životného príbehu škótskeho cyklistu Graema Obreeho, ktorý v roku 1993 ohromil celý športový svet. Ako nezamestnaný amatér totiž prekonal svetový hodinový rekord na vlastnoručne skonštruovanom bicykli, ktorý zostavil zo železného šrotu. Graem, ktorý vyrastal v Ayrshire, bol vždy bojovník. Ale keď skrachoval jeho obchod s bicyklami, nemal peniaze ani sponzorov na to, aby si splnil svoj sen a mohol sa prihlásiť sa do svetovej cyklistickej súťaže. Napriek tomu sa nevzdal a nakoniec sa mu podarilo dostať sa na preteky do Nórska. Tým ale jeho osudový príbeh o nezlomnej ľudskej vôli ešte len začal...

No verte tomu alebo nie, slovo rezignácia by ste napriek všetkému v jeho slovníku hľadali márne.
