Účasťou na šampionáte vo vybíjanej, kde sa za víťazstvo vypláca prémia 50-tisíc dolárov, čo je presne toľko, koľko Peter potrebuje na záchranu telocvične. Dajú sa v šibeničnom termíne zvládnuť základy vybíjanej?

Až potom zistila, že ku každému športu patria rany pod pás, k úspechu závisť okolia a k priazni svalnatých spolužiakov prvé trpké sklamanie. Z veselého poskakovanie s farebnými strapcami sa vykľula náročná drina pri nácviku komplikovaných figúr pre očakávané majstrovstvá školských tímov a z kapitánskej pozície ťažká skúška nervov aj charakteru. Aby v takej skúške uspela, potrebuje nápady, odvahu, vtip, trochu drzosti a veľa lásky od chlapca, od ktorého by to vôbec nečakala ...
