After being assigned to work as a teacher in rural Xieng Khouang, Laos, a young school teacher, Nuanseng, must overcome a lack of resources to better her students' lives.

Khuannang, a girl from the countryside, moves to Vientiane to find a job. She starts working at the garment factory where her close friend Sisan works. Unfortunately, Khuannang's life takes a terrible turn when she falls victim to human trafficking.
