Buitenaardse wezens uit het sterrenstelsel Hydra storten met hun schip neer op het eiland Sardinië. De aliens gijzelen een wetenschapper, zijn dochter en een paar technici, die hun schip weer moeten herstellen. De gijzelaars proberen echter te ontsnappen, want ze vrezen dat ze uiteindelijk mee moeten naar de thuisplaneet van de aliens.
