Wanneer Hwe-yeon gedwongen wordt door prins Sung-won om de nieuwe vrouw van de koning te worden, loopt ze samen met haar geliefde Kwon-yoo weg. De prins vindt het stel in een boerenschuur en neem Hwe-yeon alsnog mee naar het paleis, terwijl Kwon-yoo fysiek zwaar wordt gestraft.
