In 1995, during the Angolan civil war, Nayola sets out in search of her missing husband.

A team of three pets, a playful ferret, a sweet canary bird and a know-it-all stick insect, head out to ask Saint Nicolas presents for their animal friends and themselves. The journey is filled with adventures and their friendship is severely tested.

BEK (Beak) is a tale about a girl who is born with wings instead of arms and a beak where a mouth should be. Unlike a real bird though, she cannot fly because she is, after all, still a girl. Hated by her father, she is driven from home and ends up joining the circus as a freak attraction. Adopted by a friendly, drunken clown she settles into her niche as a circus performer. As time goes by, she longs to be a real woman, a human, but there is no place for such a bird-creature in the world outside the circus. So, she creates her own fantasy world as she dreams about the life of a normal girl, somewhere far away from the circus. In the end, she dreams herself away from it all leaving the audience wondering if the girl was actually there, or if it was something they may have imagined – a girl with wings and a beak.

An anthropomorphic cat and dog, their images divided over 4 panels, receive an invitation for a romantic rendez­vous. When they eventually arrive at their destination after multiple moments of near-­interaction the lovers don’t turn out to be whom we thought they were. At the end it’s their abandoned spouses who meet and reveal the naked truth.

The Idalecio family is close to imploding emotionally. During the weekly Sunday drive all falls apart. It starts with a claustrophobic car trip through town. Nagging children, football on the radio, a mother in law with a sharp tongue, a new pregnancy. It is a day of unhappiness, a day that will turn around their lives. An anti-Sunday.

The Dutch 'Wad' (coastal mud flats) is a strange place. At low tide, many square miles of mud flats surface between the mainland and the northern islands. The Netherlands grow and shrink with the movement of the moon. Sudden incoming tide make these flats 'sea' again, sometimes drowning hikers by surprise. The Wad does not know what to make of itself. Land, see, mud, ocean floor... Two characters (and their dog) are stranded there in that desolate place. The only dramatic elements in this comical short are the sea, the wind, the sand and a lonely sea gull. Drawn in mud and tar on wet sandpaper.

Burning in the desert sun, Eduardo - a lemonade seller - is fighting the urge to drink his last and final bottle of refreshing lemonade. When a thirsty client comes crawling to his stand, Eduardo comes into conflict with his own moral code.

In true hard-boiled detective style, a rooster tries to find the thief of the egg that was stolen from his chicken. Soon all traces point towards the farmer. But before the egg can be saved from becoming hard-boiled itself, the rooster and his chicken have to fight the farmer's cat for it. Spectacular action, including a fight, a chase, and the birth of a new chicken.

Like in our world, these users sympathise with animal rights and funny animal videos, but these animals are far more absurd than in our non-animated life.

In this modern version of an ancient Russian folk tale, a humble bun runs away from its makers to avoid being eaten. The little round loaf tumbles through the hands of a host of hungry characters in the modern Russian urban jungle. Seen through his freshly-baked eyes, the artefacts of the Soviet empire loom large as we are plunged into a maelstrom of comic references to Russian life and culture, in which archaic film and folk customs survive among the mechanical guts of a modern city.

A turtle is the reason that Adam and Eve - already quite old - find a book in their paradise. By tearing the blank pages from the book, they unleash forces that they can initially play with, but which soon grow beyond their heads. The three-dimensional animated film starts as an innocent comedy, but when paradise is taken over in a spectacular way, it takes on an increasingly grim character.
