Yuku is a young mouse who lives with her family in the cellar of a castle. Her grandmother passes on the family values by telling her timeless folk tales. Injured in a tussle with a cat, the old mouse is bedridden and she tells her children that she will have to leave them to follow the little blind mole into the Earth’s tunnels. In one of her grandmother’s storybooks, Yuku learns that the flower of the Himalayas can bring her eternal light. She leaves on a journey of discovery to find the flower.

While the adults are napping, a young girl dances to pass the time.

When it is again time to go hunting and painting, Gwel is appointed head of the group of hunters while Karou the painter and his apprentice Lani set off to paint the walls of the great cavern. But they hadn't counted on meeting a cave lion.

It is snowing. Lily and her grandfather are making a little bird house to help the birds survive over the winter. "But where do the other animals in the garden find shelter in winter?" – wonders the little girl. So she puts one of her mittens at the foot of the tree where they have fastened the bird house.

A spectator, who is a puppet, applauds the magic tricks of the butterfly woman, with whom he is in love. Under the force of his applause, the strings holding him in place give way. Thus free, he runs to the butterfly woman in the hope of conquering her and freeing her from her fate.

Step by step, the film reveals a woman's way through life. As the lonely bearer of many different thoughts, she dances the worlds of her memories, feelings and experiences, discoveries and cheerful emotions.

Grandpa hammers in the last nail of a nice little playhouse that he proudly gives to his grandson. But the Kid finds it a little small, and then... there is a worm in there! "Go get the chick", says the mischievous Grandpa, "he'll take care of it!".

Winter is approaching, and the last day of the red-yellow-brown glow of autumn is a good time for the animals in the forest to organize a very special race. Ardently they construct buggies from discarded materials, and as the weather turns frosty, the race is on for the hare, fox, hedgehog, bear, and others. The story begins in the basement of a worn-out blues bar in Louisiana in the 1980s. A few regular customers are having a drink. A guitarist gets on stage and everybody comments on the newcomer. The guitarist draws the attention of the audience by tapping the microphone. He introduces himself. He will tell them the true story of Blind Boogie Jones.
