Matko is a small time hustler, living by the Danube with his 17-year-old son Zare. After a failed business deal he owes money to the much more successful gangster Dadan. Dadan has a sister, Afrodita, that he desperately wants to see get married so they strike a deal: Zare is to marry her.
During the Nazi-occupied Ustasha regime "NDH" in former Yugoslavia during WWII, little girl Dara is sent to the concentration camp complex Jasenovac in Croatia also known as "Balkan's Auschwitz".
Belgrade, the summer of 1991. Yugoslavia is falling apart. Gavran can't get a driving licence because he is color blind. He is a rural Bosnian introvert obsessed with trucks. So, as soon as he is released from prison, he steals a truck to go on a joyride. Suzana, a city girl, discovers she is pregnant, but until she's due for an abortion, she decides to go to Dubrovnik. She hitchikes and Gavran almost runs her over. She is unhurt, but she blackmails him to take her to Dubrovnik. Two people from different worlds, equally removed from the real one. For him she is the first woman he can talk to; for her he is just another idiot to add to the long list of them that she has so far compiled. But the pressure of danger and the intimations of war force them together. The world about them has become so absurd that they seem to each other the only sober people left.

Stevan Jakovljević, a biology teacher and World War I veteran who fought for the Serbian army, arrives to the celebration of the twentieth anniversary of the end of the war and the opening of an ossuary in the village where he used to be stationed with his first company, the Fifth Artillery Battery. There he encounters only the aged Commander, and through their flashbacks we see the fate of the Fifth Battery which was disbanded in that very village.
Ivan teaches history in a Belgrade high school. In his class, Ivan is provoked by a student and ends up slapping him on the face. In Serbia, in the heat of transitional changes, Ivan’s presence in school is no longer welcomed. He finds a temporary job opportunity in a war-scarred mountain village in Bosnia. On his way there, he meets Yasmina, a young Muslim woman, back from Germany to her homeland after the war and after being invited by an old friend – Hazim - who now runs a motel. A lone kiss in a stormy night, in a village still lying in ruins, will bring Yasmina and Ivan closer together in a joint escape from reality and to a ride on a dusty bus, where neither one of them wants to sit next to the window.
When the war in Yugoslavia breaks out, an army officer who's ethnic Slovenian yet still believes in Yugoslavia, decides to move to Belgrade. The country continues to fall apart and so does his family failing to find acceptance there.
Mačak is the best basketball player around the blocks of New Belgrade. Meanwhile, his friend is bullied by a local gangster Koma, whom he owns money. To pay off his debt, Mačak will play 1 on 1 with the rival player, eventually winning it. However, Koma doesn't stand on his promise, so Mačak decides to solve this problem the other way.
The plot follows Steva, who is in love with an actress, Duja, who adores his motorcycle, and Bane, who plans to steal the motorcycle. Nikola desperately searches for a job, while Toma is in love with Mira, who is in an abusive relationship and occasionally thinks about Toma. The film highlights the despair and isolation of a generation in the post-war era.
Tihomir Stojkovic suspects that there's a hidden treasure in the property of his neighbors. Since this piece of land belongs to a man who has unmarried daughter, Tihomir persuades his friend Djosa to marry her so they could get in possession of that jar full of money. The characters are based on TV series "Family Treasure".

The news will completely disrupt the thrill and to potential tour guests, tourists and members of the Sweet Sin and the whole island.
This is the story of the multinational and ethnically conflicted assembly of apatrides from war torn ex-Yugoslavia, hired by a crippled war merchant to sew labels upon fake jeans and participate in drug smuggling ring. Forced and humiliated into doing such work they are locked up in a Paris cellar where they find out that their Western fate brings even worse temptations then the war in Yugoslavia that made them leave the motherland.

The European mad cow madness is doing harm to their profit, mostly because Lister, an upstart with shallow past, is persuading people not to buy pork. The locals are waiting for a New Year's Eve with the sound of trumpets and popular songs of the past century.
