Niujorkas išgyvena slogius laikus. Piktadarys Šrėderis geležine ranka valdo visą miestą – pradedant korumpuota policija, baigiant dar korumpuotesnias politikais. Saugumo jausmą seniai užmiršę miestiečiai įbauginti ir praradę viltį. Tačiau vieną dieną kažkas pasikeičia. Tai šen, tai ten pasigirsta keistų gandų apie bebaimius rytų kovų menus įvaldžiusius padarus, kurie priešinasi Šrėderio diktatui ir griauna jo planus. Gandai turi pagrindą. Į kovą su nusikaltėliais stoja keturi broliai – vėžliukai mutantai nindzės.

Praėjus dvejiems metams po to, kai keturi bebaimiai kovotojai Mikelandželas, Donatelas, Leonardas ir Rafaelis nugalėjo piktadarį Šrėderį ir atnešė taiką bei ramybę Niujorkui, įtampa mieste vėl ima didėti. Užuosdami kažką negero, vėžliukai ima aiškintis situaciją ir atranda, kad Šrėderis sugrįžo. Tik dabar jo planas nukreiptas būtent prieš jį nugalėjusius didvyrius. Su genetikos mokslininko Baksterio Stokmano pagalba Šrėderis ima kurti savo mutantų armiją.

Po pergalės prieš Šrederį vėžliukai išsibarstė po visą pasaulį. Tačiau Niujorke bręsta naujas pavojus – pramonininkas Maksas Vintersas surinko senovinių monstrų-karių armiją. Pasauliui gresia rimtas pavojus. Vieninteliai, kas gali jį išgelbėti – vėžliukai nindzės.

Niujorko požemių gyventojai vėžliukai nindzės turi stebuklingos medžiagos, nuo kurios galima virsti mutantu. Kai piktasis Šrederis sužino apie tokią medžiagą, vėžliukams nindzėms ir vėl tenka stoti į mūšį ir išgelbėti pasaulį.

Franklin and Friends is a Canadian CGI children's television series produced by Nelvana that is a reboot of the original Franklin series. It is the second adaptation of the classic characters from the Franklin the Turtle series of children's books written by Paulette Bourgeois and illustrated by Brenda Clark, the first of which was Franklin, which was also produced by Nelvana. The new series was announced by Nelvana on September 28, 2010, and it debuted on Treehouse TV on March 4, 2011.
