Praėjus ketveriems metams po pirmojo tada vienuole dar tik besiruošusios tapti Irenos susidūrimo su galinguoju demonu, vienoje Prancūzijos katalikiškoje mokykloje žiauriai nužudomas kunigas. Į vienuoles jau įšventinta Irena netrukus supranta, kad už šios žmogžudystės slypi ta pati pragariška jėga, su kuria ji jau buvo susidūrusi: demoniškoji vienuolė Valak. Irena vėl stoja į kovą su pačiu siaubo įsikūnijimu, o netrukus ima suprasti, kad jos ryšys su šiuo demonu – kur kas gilesnis, nei ji galvojo iki šiol.

Filmas žiūrovą nukelia į JAV pilietinio karo kamuojamą Vidžinijos valstiją, kurioje įsikūręs uždaras merginų pensionatas. Viena iš nuo karinių veiksmų besislapstančių merginų šalia pensionato esančiame miške randa sužeistą šiaurietį. Vadovaudamasi krikščioniškąja morale, įstaigos direktorė Marta Farnsvort (akt. Nicole Kidman) apsisprendžia priglausti ir išgydyti priešo kareivį. Netrukus patrauklusis Makbernis (akt. Collin Farrell) tampa jaunų merginų iki šiol gniaužtų emocijų proveržio priežastimi. Lenktyniavimas ir seksualinė įtampa kaskart auga, o aistringas jėgas atgaunantis jaunuolis pradeda slapta jausmingai bendrauti ir su melancholiškąja auklėtoja Edvina Debni (akt. Kirsten Dunst), ir su lengvabūdiška auklėtine Elise (akt. Elle Fanning). Peržengtos padorumo ribos, sulaužytas tabu ir jau netrukus veiksmas ima rutuliotis nenumatyta spirale, apnuogindamas slapčiausias personažų kertes.

Pilietinio karo metu sužeistas amerikiečių kareivis (akt. Clint Eastwood) randa prieglobstį mergaičių mokykloje - internate. Išsigydęs žaizdas, vieną po kitos jis ima vilioti internato mokytojas ir mokines. Netrukus atmosfera mokykloje tampa nepakenčiamai įtempta.

Griežtai reguliuojamoje mergaičių mokykloje dvi studentės suvokia, jog tikrovė nėra tokia, kokia atrodo.

Filmas sukurtas pagal Lillianos Hellman pjesę, kur Audrey Hepburn (Karen) ir Shirley MacLaine (Marta) vaidina dvi jaunas mokytojas, susiejusias gyvenimą su mažų mergaičių ugdymu jų įsteigtoje privačioje provincialioje mokykloje. Vienai mergaičių atrodo, kad gyvenimas su senele daug geresnis nei privačioje mokykloje. Todėl pabėgusi iš mokyklos ir nenorėdama į ją grįžti, ji sukuria melagingą istoriją apie tai, kad abi mokytojas sieja homoseksualūs meilės ryšiai.

The Sakuragoaka Girls' Academy curriculum traditionally focuses on the three "R"s of reading, writing and arithmetic, but Ritsu Tainaka wants to add two more "R"s: Rock and Roll! The student council then places the 5 male students in a place known as the prison on charges that they were peeping on the girls in the showers.
