A devious fox comes to a small farm and uses flattery to trick the ducks, chickens and roosters into coming with him, supposedly to compete at the County Fair. Dinky is desperate to come along, too, but the fox rejects the little black duck for the same reason all the other farm birds shun him: he's too small. Dinky, however, discovers that the fox has tricked all the birds into his cave. The fox has them caged and plans to roast them in his oven. It's up to the once-despised Dinky to come to the rescue.

A colony of rabbits (and their newborns) is terrorized by a wake of marauding vultures (who fly around like bad enemy Second World War airplanes- even though they are supposed be an Indian tribe).

Mice, seeking shelter from a storm, enter Dr. Jekyll's house. His cat chases them, ultimately crashing into the lab, where he mixes up some of the potion. He transforms, then rounds up the mice. Mighty Mouse comes to the rescue; in the fight, the lab catches fire. The mice escape, but the house rockets into the sky.
Dinky quits the cartoon business and gets a job as a spokes-duck for TV commercials.

According to Aesop, Philip, a little fish who lives at the bottom of the sea with his dogfish, catfish, shark and other classmates in the school of fish, desires to become the first flying fish. His horrified friends ostracize him for his strange wish, but he practices until he is able to fly, but the birds flee in terror at the sight of a flying fish. When a pelican invades the ocean-bottom and proceeds to scoop up Phillip's ex-playmates in his large bill, Philip takes to the air and drives off the villainous bird. Philip is now a hero and the fish establish a flying school in his honor...according to Aesop Terrytoon.
