대인 관계에 서투른 소녀 ‘고토 히토리’는 무대에서 빛나는 밴드 활동을 동경해 기타 연주를 시작하지만, 여전히 친구가 없다. 혼자서 연습하며 실력을 키우던 중 자신의 연주 영상을 인터넷 사이트에 올리고 어느 날 ‘결속밴드’에서 드럼을 담당하는 ‘이지치 나지카’가 먼저 ‘고토 히토리’에게 말을 거는데…?!

시바사키 고등학교에선 문화제 준비가 한창이다. 고교생활 마지막을 장식할 문화제에 참가하기 위해 연습 중이던 밴드는 멤버들의 부상과 탈퇴 등으로 해체의 위기를 맞는다. 남은 멤버만으로 연주할 곡을 찾던 이들은 우연히 전설적 밴드 '블루하트'의 '린다 린다'라는 곡을 듣게 되는데... '바로 이거다!' 다급히 보컬을 찾던 중 마침 이들 앞을 지나가던 한국에서 온 교환학생 송에게 보컬을 제안한다. 아직 일본어가 미숙한 송은 계속 고개만 끄덕이다가 얼떨결에 밴드 보컬을 떠맡게 된다. 송의 노래실력을 처음 알게 된 밴드 멤버들... '이거 너무하네.' 그래도 학창시절 마지막 문화제를 포기할 수 없는 이들, 밴드 연습을 하며 국적을 뛰어넘는 우정을 쌓아 나가는데...
