A little hedgehog finds a magnificent apple in the woods. He rolls it behind a rock where he can enjoy it at his leisure. But there are some uninvited guests at the feast.

Yuku is a young mouse who lives with her family in the cellar of a castle. Her grandmother passes on the family values by telling her timeless folk tales. Injured in a tussle with a cat, the old mouse is bedridden and she tells her children that she will have to leave them to follow the little blind mole into the Earth’s tunnels. In one of her grandmother’s storybooks, Yuku learns that the flower of the Himalayas can bring her eternal light. She leaves on a journey of discovery to find the flower.

Cherry is 6-year-old girl. She lives with her parents on their large property. Her mother schools her and teaches her music and painting. Cherry is fascinated by the birds she sees from her large terrace but doesn’t realise that her father overprotecting her prevents her from spreading her wings. That is how she discovers Flower, the gardener’s daughter, who walks about freely, yet who is the same age as her. Flower talks about a bird that Cherry had never seen before, the nightingale. From that moment on, Cherry has only one thing in mind: go and meet it.

A mouse is chased by a cat who is pursued by a dog that is pursued by a little girl who is put right by her mommy who has enough with the grumbling grandpa who makes his soup and needs a carrot.

It is snowing. Lily and her grandfather are making a little bird house to help the birds survive over the winter. "But where do the other animals in the garden find shelter in winter?" – wonders the little girl. So she puts one of her mittens at the foot of the tree where they have fastened the bird house.

Winter is approaching, and the last day of the red-yellow-brown glow of autumn is a good time for the animals in the forest to organize a very special race. Ardently they construct buggies from discarded materials, and as the weather turns frosty, the race is on for the hare, fox, hedgehog, bear, and others. With mutual caring, the forest animals ride toward the finish line and their wintering grounds.
