Gulabi is a transwoman groomed by her patriarchal father to join the military. When her father disowns her, Gulabi ends up living a life of prostitution in Kathmandu.

In a small village of Ilam, Jaya Narayan Sharma and Laxmi Sharma (husband and wife) are living their retired life. We are in the year 2001, a temporary ceasefire brings a much-needed break to a small war-torn village in Northern Nepal, bringing much joy among the residents.
