Thangapandian, an honest forest officer, is transferred to a village. The village chief cuts illegally the sandalwood trees. Radha is brought up by her adoptive family. When she was young, her father, a famous singer, died in a car accident. Thangapandian falls in love with Radha. What transpires later forms the crux of the story.
Pandi is raised with a lot of care by Nesamani. He treats Nesamani's daughter like his own sister, but when he finds out that someone is planning to kill her, he goes out of the way to save her.
The main lead of the film is a bodyguard for his village and falls in love with simple girl who lives in the same village.
