ラッセル・クロウがささいな運転マナーに腹を立て、ヒロインをどこまでも追い詰めていく狂気のあおり運転男を怪演するノンストップ・サスペンス・アクション。共演はカレン・ピストリアス、ガブリエル・ベイトマン。監督はデリック・ボルテ。美容師のレイチェルは息子のカイルを乗せて学校へ向かう途中、渋滞に捕まり苛立ちを募らせる。ちょうどその時、信号が青に変わっても前の車が動き出さず、思わず強めにクラクションを鳴らしてしまう。すると男は車を横付けし、クラクションの鳴らし方に文句をつけ謝罪を要求。しかし不運続きでイライラＭＡＸのレイチェルは猛然と言い返してそのまま車を走らせる。その後カイルを学校に送り届けたレイチェルは、さっきの男がなおも後を尾けてきていることに気づくのだったが…。
夫亡き後に引っ越すため、子供たちを連れて車を走らせていたブレンダ。その道中、消えた大金が絡んだ殺人事件に巻き込まれ、危険にさらされた家族を守るため奔走する。
