元オートボット司令官センチネル・プライムとディセプティコン破壊大帝メガトロンが引き起こしたシカゴの惨劇から5年、すでにディセプティコンの大半は駆逐されたものの、オートボットとアメリカ政府の同盟も解消され、オートボット達は姿を消していた。テキサス州でしがない廃品回収業を営む発明家ケイド・イェーガーは仕事で赴いた映画館の中で眠っていたトレーラートラックを見つけ、それを自宅に持ち帰る。さっそくケイドはそのトラックを解体しようとした所、それがトランスフォーマーである事を知る。

舞台は近未来のデトロイト。かつて自動車産業で栄華を誇ったこの街は犯罪都市と化し、巨大コングロマリット企業オムニ・コンシューマ・プロダクツ（OCP、通称オムニ社）によって警察（民営化されていて警察官から一般職員に至るまで会社員）を含む街全体が支配されていた。 アレックス・マーフィー巡査は、一連の警官殺しにおける犯人とされ指名手配中のマフィアであるクラレンス一味を追っていた。マーフィーはカーチェイスの末に一味の隠家を発見、潜入するも惨殺される。犯罪撲滅のため「警官のロボット化」を企画していたオムニ社は、死亡診断が下されたマーフィーの死していない生体部分を部品として利用、彼をロボコップとして蘇らせる。 ロボコップは驚異的な性能で優秀な成果をあげ、街の治安は少しずつ取り戻されて行った。しかし、ロボコップ自身は人間だった頃の記憶の断片に悩まされ、ついには自分が何者であったかを知ってしまう。

大災害「セカンドインパクト」後の世界を舞台に、人型兵器「エヴァンゲリオン」のパイロットとなった少年少女たちと、第3新東京市に襲来する謎の敵「使徒」との戦いを描いたテレビアニメ『新世紀エヴァンゲリオン』（1995年 - 1996年）を、新たな設定とストーリーで「リビルド」（再構築）したものが『ヱヴァンゲリヲン新劇場版』シリーズである。本作は2007年公開の『ヱヴァンゲリヲン新劇場版:序』、2009年公開の『ヱヴァンゲリヲン新劇場版:破』に続く第3作目にあたる。タイトルの「Q」は、当初は雅楽の用語「序破急」に由来する「急」とされていた。 シリーズ第1作『序』は、TVシリーズ第壱話から第六話までのストーリーをほぼ踏襲していたが、第2作『破』からは、TVシリーズ第八話から第拾九話を元にしつつも、新たな登場人物、エヴァンゲリオン、使徒などが加わり『新劇場版』独自のストーリーへとシフトしていった。そして本作『Q』では、前作から14年後の世界におけるNERVと反NERV組織「ヴィレ」の戦いなど、TVシリーズや旧劇場版とは全く異なるストーリーが展開される。

Mazinger Z, known briefly as Tranzor Z in the United States, is a Japanese super robot manga series written and illustrated by Go Nagai. Mazinger Z has spawned several sequels and spinoff series, among them UFO Robot Grendizer and Mazinkaiser. It was a very popular cartoon in Mexico during the 1980s, where it was dubbed into Spanish directly from the Japanese version, keeping the Japanese character names and broadcasting all 92 episodes, unlike the version aired in the U.S.
