Prospero, ormai vecchio, è stato spodestato dal fratello e ha perso così il ducato di Milano. Ora vive su un'isola dalla quale, scatenando una tempesta, fa naufragare le navi di passaggio. Versione barocca e figurativamente smagliante (con ampio uso delle nuove tecnologie elettroniche) della "Tempesta" di Shakespeare.
