Continuano con questo film le avventure epiche di Riko e Reg, con la loro nuova amica Nanachi. Insieme discendono il terribile quinto strato dell'Abisso, il Mare dei Cadaveri, e qui incontreranno il misterioso Bondrewd, un leggendario Fischietto Bianco le cui ombre si aggrovigliano nel passato di Nanachi. Bondrewd si mostra particolarmente gentile ma i coraggiosi avventurieri sanno che nell'enigmatico Abisso le cose non sono sempre come sembrano...

Guts torna dai Falchi e scopre che, dopo la sua partenza, Griffith è stato catturato e fatto prigioniero dalle truppe del Re di Midland. Guts, Casca e i Falchi partono subito alla volta del castello di Midland per salvare la loro guida. Una volta giunti nelle terribili segrete in cui è rinchiuso, grazie all'aiuto della principessa Charlotte, devono affrontare un'atroce realtà: Griffith non è più il fiero guerriero di un tempo; dopo mesi di strazianti torture e terribili mutilazioni, è un uomo agonizzante, in fin di vita, che ha perso l'uso degli arti e della parola. Guts, Casca e tutti gli altri compagni sono in preda al panico ed alla disperazione, ignari dell'inimmaginabile pericolo che li attende con l'arrivo di un'eclissi. Durante questo evento, Griffith, sedotto dal lato più oscuro del male, dovrà infatti intraprendere una durissima scelta per raggiungere i suoi obiettivi.

Goblin Slayer e il suo gruppo si dirigono verso le montagne innevate a nord dopo aver ricevuto la richiesta dalla Sword Maiden di trovare qualsiasi informazione sul Noble Fencer che è scomparso dopo aver lasciato per uccidere alcuni goblin. Un piccolo villaggio viene attaccato, incontrano una misteriosa cappella e qualcosa su come si comportano questi goblin infastidisce l'assassino di Goblin. Per salvare il Noble Fencer catturato, il Goblin Slayer e il suo gruppo si dirigono verso un'antica fortezza ricoperta di neve per affrontare un potente nemico e un'orda di goblin!

La storia riprende un anno dopo gli accadimenti della serie anime, con i protagonisti che decidono di riunirsi nuovamente per bruciare insieme delle lettere scritte a Menma; con questo sistema infatti i ragazzi intendono far pervenire nell'aldilà i loro messaggi all'amica scomparsa. Il film, oltre a fare un retelling della storia, è un'occasione per approfondire la psicologia dei personaggi e aggiungere nuovi dettagli al racconto.
