In this sequel to Scenes from a Marriage (1973), we revisit the characters of Johan and Marianne, then a married couple. After their divorce, Johan and Marianne haven't seen each other for 32 years. Marianne is still working, as a divorce lawyer. Johan is quite well off and has retired to a house in the Orsa finnmark district of Sweden. On a whim, Marianne decides to visit him. Johan's son from a previous marriage, Henrik, lives nearby in a cottage with his daughter Karin, a gifted cello player. The relationship between father and son is strained.

Based on a true story. On 27 April 1940, Luftwaffe pilot Horst Schopis' Heinkel 111 bomber is shot down near Grotli by an RAF Blackburn Skua L2940 fighter, which then crash-lands. The surviving German and English crew members begin to shoot at each other, but later find themselves huddled up in the same cabin. In order to survive the harsh winter in the Norwegian wilderness, they have to stand together. An unlikely, lifelong friendship blossoms.

In order to free Embla, Askur must go to Iceland and convert the people there to catholicism.

Edith Carlmar (1911 – 2003) was Norway's first female director and a prominent figure in Norwegian film history. She created some of Norway's biggest box-office successes of all time. Agnes Moxnes interviews a frank and honest Carlmar, who talks about her movies and the times they were made. This DVD was released in 2011 in conjunction with the 100-year anniversary of Edith Carlmar's birth.

The Norwegian owned dog Balto became a great hero and Hollywood star after bringing medicine and saving lives in the town of Nome, Alaska, during an epidemic in the winter of 1925. However, after a year of fame and touring the United States, followed a life of captivity and suffering. Luckily some people still had Balto in their hearts.

During the World Ski Championships, hundreds of thousands of people were in Holmenkollen. A great many of them used the Holmenkollbanen to get out into the fields and arenas. When the Holmenkoll Railway was opened in 1898, it was the Nordic region's first suburban railway; today the line is part of Oslo's subway network and transports permanent residents and tourists to Holmenkollen and Frognerseteren.
