Driver Elof "Loffe" Karlsson ends his employment with the director Bergfeldt, who is divorcing wife Karin. He takes the place of a lawyer Nyberg, provides Mrs. Bergfeldt a restaurant. This is where the young and cute waitress Greta and Loffe become acquainted. Greta Bergman is involved in a large inheritance case, and as a lawyer Nyberg agreed to take care for her. American businessman Chris Johnson spent WW2 in Sweden and fell in love with a nurse, Karin Engström. He lost contact with her after war and now, seven years later, he returns to Sweden on a business trip, trying to find her again.

"How crazy!" A man and a woman watch episodes from Nils Poppe movies outside a cinema Maxim in Stockholm. Poppe represents, among other things, a poor composer who vainly tries to get a tune adopted by a publisher. The failure makes him depressed, but he is living it up by meeting a good friend Calle, who invites him home. Poppe stays for a few days as a male housewife. Calle has a music store and there the two friends can go crazy among all the instruments.

The estate Bokegård has big debts, mostly because the owner Måns Nilsson and his daughter Rose Marie just care about their horses.
