Norske Talenter is a Norwegian talent show with the same format as Britain's Got Talent. 16-year old singer Erlend Bratland won the first series and hip hop dance group Quick won the second series. Judges are music producer Jan Fredrik Karlsen, singer and actress Mia Gundersen and comedian/actor Thomas Giertsen. In 2007 Marte Stokstad and Sturla Berg-Johansen were hosts, and in 2008 Berg-Johansen joined Pia Lykke to be hosts. Mot i Brøstet is a Norwegian situation comedy created by Tore Ryen. It originally aired on TV 2 from 22 January 1993 to 8 December 1997 and has since aired in reruns on various TV2 channels. It was the commercial Norwegian sitcom, and remains popular with fans, even fifteen years after its end. It was released on DVD in 2007. A spin-off, Karl & Co, aired on TV 2 for three seasons from 1998 to 2001, spawning a total of 63 episodes. Another spin-off, Karl III, aired on TV 2 in 2009, but was cancelled after only 12 episodes due to negative reviews.

Skal vi danse? is the Norwegian edition of the British television series, Strictly Come Dancing and the American television series, Dancing with the Stars. It is produced by Monster Entertainment and broadcast on TV 2 Jon Peder Olrud and Geir Bie were producers in the first season. The second and third seasons were produced by Ingvild Daae. The series premiered on TV 2 on January 15, 2006. Skal vi danse? in Norwegian means shall we dance?. Dancing celebrities with professional dancers and companies are reviewed by a panel of judges and the TV viewers. Each pair consists of a celebrity and a professional dancer and the one with the fewest votes does not participate in the next round. The series has had high ratings in Norway, with an average of between 600,000 and 700,000 viewers. The record with 733,000 viewers on average in the season premiere was reached for the first program of series 4. Only the final episodes of each series have had higher numbers.
