The last episode of the long lost TV show HEATWAVES is found re-recorded on an old VHS. As the VHS tape slips in and out of popular stories, the lines of where HEATWAVES starts and stops begin to blur.

Two friends resolve to enjoy an old horror movie as a consequence of character similarities. As the film makes headway, art begins to imitate life.
