Four different families in a medium-sized Dutch city are followed. Their children attend the same high school. The parents all have their own way of raising children. But for all of them it is true that they set the bar very high for themselves and their little ones: life must be perfect above all!

Ten candidates have to complete assignments to earn money. However, one of the group members is the Mole. The Mole's goal is to make the assignments fail and keep the amount of money earned as low as possible. The other candidates do not know who the Mole is and need to unmask them. At the end of every episode, the candidates take a multiple-choice test about the mole's identity. The person who gives the least amount of correct answers is "executed" and must leave. This process continues until only two contestants and the Mole remain. The winner is the person with the most correct answers in the final test and they get all of the money earned in previous stages of the game.

Can you just disappear nowadays? 12 contestants need to stay out of a hunter team of experts for 21 days. the 'hunters' have experience in police, military and private sector tracking. Leading detective Sander Schaepman hunts the 'fugitives' from his headquarters.

Immediately after The Mole you can watch MolTalk, live from VondelCS in Amsterdam. In these commentary's, Marlijn Weerdenburg and Splinter Chabot discuss hints, tasks and theory's with former candidates and other guests.

Robèrt evaluates the assignments of Heel Holland Bakt in Doorbakken by testing them on volunteers. Everything is managed smoothly by André and Janny.

Yous and Yay receive guests they admire and explore their inspiration and motivations in personal conversations. Yous and Yay delve deeper into the fascinations of their conversation partners via rabbit holes. These take the viewer to the history of the Wuppies, the French cult film ‘La Haine’, street poetry in Rotterdam, the video clips of Missy Elliott and the cultural heritage of the song ‘You’ll never walk alone’. Each and every one of them is a side path that surprises, amazes, provides context or inspires. Yous and Yay, the two homo universales of the Dutch cultural scene, have been pioneering creators for years within and outside their own range of disciplines (music, literature, film, graphic design). Yous & Yay in the wild abandons the idea of ​​what a cultural programme should be and navigates right through all genres, disciplines and other cultural pigeonholes.

The Story of the Netherlands tells the story of the country we live in, from the moment the first inhabitants settled there. Never before has our history, and how it has made us who we are today, been made tangible in this way. The project consists of a 10-part television series for NPO 1, with Daan Schuurmans as narrator.
