הסרט עוסק בסיפורם של קבוצת ילדים באגם וינדמייר שבאנגליה, שמנסים להתאושש ולהשתקם אחרי תום מלחמת העולם השנייה והשואה. תקציר העלילה: הסרט מתרחש אחר תום מלחמת העולם השנייה באגם וינדמייר, שם קם מחנה תמיכה ושיקום לילדים ניצולי השואה, שמתמודדים עם זיכרונות וטראומות מהשואה, ומנסים להשתקם מזה בעזרת פסיכולוג. בוסס על סיפור אמיתי. קבוצת ילדים ניצולי שואה מגיעים לאזור האגמים בבריטניה של אחרי מלחמת העולם השנייה ומתחילים תהליך מורכב של שיקום והשתלבות בחברה, בעזרתו של פסיכולוג ילדים מסור.
