Gord Brody âgé de 28 ans est resté dans son enfance à travers les animations et les bandes dessinées. Il crée lui-même ses bandes animées et n'a qu'un souhait dans sa médiocre existence, qu'elles lui rapportent des montagnes d'argent. Freddy est en fait le frère du personnage principal, Gord Brody (Tom Green). Ce dernier quitte sa maison familiale pour un emploi à la chaîne à Los Angeles. Le travail est ennuyant et ne convient pas du tout au tempérament de Gordy.

A la suite d'un accident de voiture dans lequel sa mère est tuée, Frank Harris est "kidnappé" par un personnage de bande dessinée...

Le dessinateur Stu Miley est le créateur d'un nouveau personnage de BD à la popularité grandissante : Monkeybone, un petit singe impertinent. Celui-ci est tout le contraire de son auteur : malin, obscène, cupide et immoral. Ce sont ces défauts qui assurent le succès de Monkeybone. Stu connaît la gloire et s'apprête à épouser Julie McElroy, la femme de ses rêves. Cependant, il est victime d'un accident de voiture et tombe dans un coma profond. Il dérive dans son imaginaire et pénètre à Downtown, un monde étrange peuplé de créatures bizarres. C'est l'endroit où aboutissent toutes les personnes se situant entre la vie et la mort. Celles-ci doivent prendre une décision, à savoir retrouver le chemin de la conscience ou sombrer dans un sommeil éternel. Stu a 12 heures pour quitter ce monde hostile avant que La Mort ne réclame son dû. Il trouve alors de l'aide auprès de Monkeybone.

Le très timide et malchanceux Hoops McCann, dessinateur en herbe, part en vacances avec son ami George sur l'île de Nantucket. Sur la route, ils rencontrent la pétulante Cassandra qui est poursuivie par un gang de motards. Cette rencontre marque le début pour nos jeunes gens d'un été de folie !

D'abord du côté d'Eugene, qui reçoit dans ses cauchemars des informations secrètes. Ensuite du côté de Rick qui, sans aucun scrupule, utilise ses données oniriques pour écrire ses bandes dessinées. Cette association aurait pu continuer longtemps, sans l'intervention inopinée des agents de la CIA, très intéressés par le cas d'Eugene...

The Duck Factory is a 1984 NBC television series produced by MTM Enterprises that is perhaps most notable for being Jim Carrey's first lead role in a Hollywood production. The show was co-created by Allan Burns. The premiere episode introduces Skip Tarkenton, a somewhat naive and optimistic young man who has come to Hollywood looking for a job as a cartoonist. When he arrives at a low-budget animation company called Buddy Winkler Productions, he finds out Buddy Winkler has just died, and the company desperately needs new blood. So Skip gets an animation job at the firm, which is nicknamed "The Duck Factory" as their main cartoon is "The Dippy Duck Show". Other Duck Factory employees seen regularly on the show were man-of-a-thousand-cartoon voices Wally Wooster; comedy writer Marty Fenneman; artists Brooks Carmichael and Roland Culp, editor Andrea Lewin, and business manager Aggie Aylesworth. Buddy Winkler Productions was now owned by his young, ditzy widow, Mrs Sheree Winkler, who had been married to Buddy for all of three weeks before his death. The Duck Factory lasted thirteen episodes; it premiered April 12, 1984. The show initially aired at 9:30 on Thursday nights, directly after Cheers, and replaced Buffalo Bill on NBC's schedule. Jay Tarses, an actor on The Duck Factory, had been the co-creator and executive producer of Buffalo Bill, which had its final network telecast on Thursday, April 5, 1984.

My World and Welcome to It is an American half-hour television sitcom based on the humor and cartoons of James Thurber. It starred William Windom as John Monroe, a Thurber-like writer and cartoonist who works for a magazine closely resembling The New Yorker called The Manhattanite. The series ran one season on NBC 1969-1970. It was created by Mel Shavelson, who wrote and directed the pilot episode and was one of the show's principal writers. Sheldon Leonard was executive producer. The show's producer, Danny Arnold, co-wrote or directed numerous episodes, and even appeared as Santa Claus in "Rally Round the Flag."

Also featured were Dudley's wife, Muriel and their two daughters, Jacqui and Susan. Dudley's literary agent, Duncan Thomas, was also featured. It was made by Thames Television for the ITV network. A remake of Keep It in the Family was produced in the United States under the title Too Close for Comfort, starring Ted Knight.

He & She is widely considered to be ahead of its time by broadcast historians.
