Kauan sitten surmanajajatähti Johnny Blaze myi paholaiselle sielunsa, jotta tämä suojelisi hänen rakkaimpiaan: hänen isäänsä ja nuoruuden rakastettuaan Roxannea. Päiväsaikaan Johnny on huimapäinen stuntmotoristi... mutta yöllä, pahan läsnä ollessa, hänestä tulee Ghost Rider – aaveajaja ja roistodemonien metsästäjä. Paholaisen asialle jouduttuaan Johnny päättää kuitenkin samalla käyttää kirousta ja voimiaan viattomien suojelemiseen.

Grindhouse: Death Proof on vuonna 2007 tehty humoristinen toimintaelokuva. Yhdysvalloissa Quentin Tarantinon Death Proof ja Robert Rodriguezin Planet Terror julkaistaan yhtenä pitkänä kahden elokuvan yhdistelmänä nimellä Grindhouse, mutta Suomessa ja muualla Euroopassa nämä elokuvat nähdään erikseen. Death Proofin ohjasi Quentin Tarantino, ja pääosissa nähdään mm. Kurt Russell ja Rosario Dawson.
