این فیلم در ادامه فیلم مومیایی که حوادث آن در سال ۱۹۳۵ بود اتفاق می افتد . فیلم نه سال بعد از حوادث قسمت اول آغاز می شود . اکنون اوکانل با ایوی اردواج کرده و با پسر ۹ ساله شان الکس در لندن زندگی می کنند . هنگامیکه گروهی از ماجراجویان ، جسد ایمهوتپ را در موزه لندن زنده می کنند ، مومیایی یکبار دیگر بر زمین قدم می گذارد و تصمیم دارد تا تلاشش را برای ابدی ماندن ، تکمیل کند . اما نیروی دیگری نیز در جهان آزاد شده است که در اثر یک آیین مصر قدیم ایجاد شده و قدرتمندتر از ایمهوتپ است . زمانیکه این دو نیرو با هم برخورد کنند ، سرنوشت دنیا نامشخص می شود . اکنون اوکانل می کوشد تا دنیا را از یک اتفاق غیر قابل توصیف و همچنین فرزندش را نجات دهد…
