Kaks aastat tänavatel Batmanina (Robert Pattinson) kurjategijate südametesse hirmu külvates jõuab Bruce Wayne Gothami sügavaimatesse varjudesse. Tal on linna korrumpeerunud ametnike ja tähtsate tegelaste seas vaid paar usaldusväärset liitlast – Alfred Pennyworth (Andy Serkis) ja politseileitnant James Gordon (Jeffrey Wright).
