El mundo está amenazado por extraterrestres llamados Noise (Ruido), los cuales desintegran a los humanos al tocarlos. Dos años antes, las integrantes del duo musical Zwei Wing, formado por Tsubasa y Kanade, pelean contra los invasores con la ayuda de sus armaduras conocidas como Symphogear. En el choque muere Kanade protegiendo a Hibiki, quien luego desarrolla los mismos poderes.
