An English family relocates to sunny Greece in the months before WWII.

Rena’s father insists on marrying her off to the son of a shipowner. Rena, however, doesn’t even want to hear about it, so she runs away and disguises herself as a boy named Pipis. As such, she meets a poor fisherman, Lefteris, and helps him on his way to Ioannina.

Hosted by Keeley Hawes, star of the popular television series The Durrells, this documentary reveals the adventures of the eccentric Durrell family once they left Corfu, Greece.

A businnesman, Sotiris Karelis, is presented to the piano teacher and twice a widow, Antzolina, and asks her to sell her mansion in order to convert it into a hotel. The same time, an Italian music group arrive in Corfu, which has been abandoned by Alinda Ritsi singer. Antzolina is persuaded not only to host her home but also to replace the singer. However, there is a lot of confusion because the singer of the group Alinda Ritsi comes in Corfu with her fiancée, and everyone is starting to look for their real identities.

Set during the Greek financial crisis, The Red Villa is a tale of suspense and deception, which tells the story of Kate, a young tourism representative who gets embroiled in the amateur attempts of two English boys to smuggle a priceless artefact out of Corfu.

In 1935, financially strapped widow Louisa Durrell, whose life has fallen apart, decides to move from England, with her four children (three sons, one daughter), to the island of Corfu, Greece. Once there, the family moves into a dilapidated old house that has no electricity and that is crumbling apart. But life on Corfu is cheap, it's an earthly paradise, and the Durrells proceed to forge their new existence, with all its challenges, adventures, and forming relationships.
