Sydney, Australia, 1920. A burnt female body is discovered. There is almost no evidence at the crime scene, but Commissioner Dick thinks that a homicide has been committed. Meanwhile, Eugène, a sailor, alone at his hotel room, immerses himself in his memories: the disappearance of his wife Annie is one of them.

Sydney, 1920. Eugene, 45, is suspected of killing his ex-wife Annie. With superintendent Dick on his trail, he goes on the run. But why if he is, as he claims, innocent ? What if it's something else ? Does he have a secret he wants to hide at all costs ?
